CPO Easter Tradition Continues Treats for Kids at Margaret Kistow Children’s Home

Easter is a special time of year and represents the joyful end to the Lenten season of fasting and penitence. There is also an incredible opportunity to invite people into the heart of generosity. An ethos Chief Personnel Officer, Commander Dr. Daryl has engendered among the Department’s staff with the adoption of the Margaret Kistow Children’s Home and the implementation of multiple initiatives that have now become annual undertakings, to bring cheer to the Children at the home and satisfy a small section of their basic needs.

Similar to last year, Dr. Dindial initiated and funded the Home’s ‘Easter Treat’ where traditional Easter goodies were purchased (hot cross buns & chocolates) along with drinks and snacks, and delivered to the Home. What makes this simple gesture so particularly special is the excitement it generates among the Children as it gives them a little taste of Easter apart from the Home’s planned activities and traditions.

This year, Dr. Dindial was unavailable to personally deliver the treats however, the Department’s Special Event Committee President, Ms. Shanice Francis represented on his behalf and presented the items to Ms. Kistow.
