The Personnel Department 2026 Tobago Survey Initiative

Conducted by the Human Resource Policy, Planning and Research Division

The Personnel Department (PD) conducted its annual survey in Tobago from Wednesday 15TH April 2026 to Friday 17TH April 2026. The exercise was carried out by three (3) officers from the Human Resource Policy, Planning and Research Division (HRPPRD), who undertook field visits across several key locations.

The survey covered Scarborough, Lowlands/Carnbee, Canaan/Crown Point, and Plymouth, ensuring a broad geographic spread to support the collection of reliable and accurate data.

The primary objective of this exercise was to gather statistical information used in determining allowances for Public Officers, as well as for individuals whose positions fall under the purview of the Salaries Review Commission (SRC).

The findings of the survey support the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO) in making data-driven recommendations aimed at establishing reasonable and affordable allowance rates. Additionally, the survey facilitates year-on-year comparisons of prices for selected negotiable items.
