The Civil Service Act provides that the Personnel Department is under the general direction and control of the Minister to whom is assigned responsibility for the administration of the Personnel Department. The Gazetted Notice dated September 23, 2015, which details Ministerial Portfolios, provides that the Minister of Public Administration is responsible for the administration and business in the Personnel Department regarding:

2. Employee Assistance Programme

3. Industrial Relations

4. Compensation and Benefits Management

5. Employee Relations

6. Performance Management
