August 15 2024 - The Personnel Department (Office of the Chief Personnel Officer) proudly reflects on the success of its second annual Three-Day Vacation Camp, a vibrant event dedicated to the children and relatives of staff members at the Personnel Department. December 15, 2023: Public Officers from several Ministries/Departments and the Tobago House of Assembly benefitted from an intensive training workshop that sought to equip Public Officers with critical information in the processing of increments and pension and leave records, to enable the timely payment of pensions and gratuities to retired Public Officers and Contracted employees.

October 10, 2023 – The Chief Personnel Officer (CPO), Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial, met with the Police Service Association earlier today to discuss a number of outstanding issues they agreed in principle to continue dialogue on. Discussions included Upkeep/Travelling Allowance to be paid with salaries, the inclusion of Twin-Cab Vehicles (T-Vehicles) for Travelling Officers, installation of CNG Kits, Group Health Plans, Pension Reform and the Job Evaluation Exercise.
June 2, 2023 – The Executive of the Fire Service Associations (1st & 2nd Division) accepted the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO), Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial’s 4% Salary Offer following an emergency meeting with their members who voted in favour of accepting the offer. The Fire Service Associations signed off on a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) accommodating the 4% salary increase for the periods 2014-2016 and 2017-2019.
May 19, 2023 – A matter filed in the Special Tribunal by the Public Service Association (PSA) on payment of overtime to Customs Officers was adjudicated on Wednesday 17th May, 2023 with a successful judgement in favour of the Chief Personnel Officer, Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial.
May 17, 2023 – Months of deliberation ended earlier today, with the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association (TTUTA) accepting the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO), Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial’s 4% salary offer for the periods 2014-2017 and 2017-2020 with enhanced entitlements included in the Memorandum of Agreement.
May 9, 2023 – The 2nd Division Prison Officers can now anticipate receiving enhanced entitlements enclosed in the Memorandum of Agreement signed off by the Prison Officers Association of Trinidad and Tobago (POATT) 2nd Division accepting the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO), Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial’s 4% offer for the periods 2014-2016 and 2017-2019.

November 16th, 2022 – On November 15th, 2022 the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO) Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial, signed Memoranda of Agreements (MoA) with the Associations representing the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service, on the establishment of formal Grievance Procedures for their Officers.
November 9, 2022 - Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial, the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO) met with and congratulated the newly elected Officials of the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association (TTUTA) Executive on November 8th, 2022 as part of a courtesy visit to allow for introductions and exchanges.
The Chief Personnel Officer, Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial met with members of the Amalgamated Workers Union (AWU) on October 19 2022 to convene discussions on a new Job Evaluation Exercise for daily paid workers of the Port of Spain City Corporation. Included in the offer by the CPO, that Amalgamated Workers Union accepted in August 2022 is the new Job Evaluation Exercise. Dr. Dindial advises that TTD 1 Million was allocated to initiate the exercise in the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
November 1 - The Chief Personnel Officer, Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial, and the Fire Service 2nd Division Association continues to work together to establish conditional agreements surrounding the standardizing of Vacation Leave for Officers in the Fire Service. Commander Dindial met with the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service pt and 2nd Divisions on October 27th to sign a Memorandum of Agreement that regularises the entitlements of Vacation Leave for Fire Officers.
Officers of The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service (TTPrS) 2nd Division Association met with the Chief Personnel Officer (CPO), Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), to regularise Vacation Leave for Prison Officers on October 18th, 2022.
The Trinidad and Tobago Defence (TTDF) accepted the Chief Personnel Officer, Dr. Daryl Dindial's 4% salary offer and signed off on the Report for the periods 2014-2016 and 2017-2019, at the Office of Chief Personnel Officer, earlier today.

April 1st 2022, Port of Spain: Acting on instructions given by the Minister of Finance, the Honourable Colm Imbert, the Chief Personnel Officer, Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial wishes to advise that wage negotiations with all Public Service Associations/Unions have commenced on March 28th, 2022 at the Personnel Department's Office, No. 3 Alexandra Street, St. Clair, Port of Spain.
The Chief Personnel Officer, Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial, convened a meeting on February 11th, 2022 with senior officials of the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service to commence discussions on a new Job Evaluation Exercise for offices within the Prison Service, subsequent to the last review of the Prison Service Classification and Compensation system which was implemented in the early 2000s.

Employee Assistance Programme for the Public Service of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Government of Trinidad and Tobago, through the Strategic Plan, Vision 2020, has articulated the country’s vision for national development. Among the objectives set out in the Plan is the transformation of the Public Service into a citizen-centered, results-driven organisation. Guidelines for Managing HIV and AIDS in the the Public Service - December, 2009
As the single, largest employer in the economy, GORTT has a key role in responding to the challenge of protecting some 80,000+ employees in its attempt to address HIV and AIDS in the Public Service. On behalf of GORTT, the Personnel Department has risen to this challenge and is pleased to offer Guidelines for Managing HIV and AIDS in the Public Service to support the efforts being made to prevent and treat HIV and AIDS, as well as those persons who are living with HIV and those affected by the disease in public service organizations- December,2009.
